On a Croft on the Isle of Skye in the Late Summer of 2018
For a few days in late August 2018, we returned to the croft in a remote corner of the Isle of Skye we had first visited in May 2017. Again we had the pleasure and the privilege of living in our motorhome for a few days in this splendid setting. Our friends, a young couple new to crofting, own a cottage and a double size croft amounting to about 12 acres in total. There was still more for us to learn about the history and the modern practice of crofting while, for a brief interlude, enjoying the space and tranquility of the land, the loch and distant views of mountains and islands.
