On a Croft on the Isle of Skye in the Spring of 2017
For a few days in late May 2017, we had the pleasure and the privilege of living in our motorhome on a croft in a remote corner of the Isle of Skye. Our friends, a young couple new to crofting, own a cottage and a double size croft amounting to about 12 acres in total. There was much for us to learn about the history and the modern practice of crofting while, for a brief interlude, enjoying the space and tranquility of the land, the loch and distant views of mountains and islands.
