Sauveterre-de-Béarn

The town is perched high above the Gave d’Oloron river and the old Pont de la Légende bridge below the remaining walls of a fort. The huge 13thC church of St André has a beautiful Christmas crib and in the square outside there is another unusual crib, with the figures made entirely of corn cobs and husks.
