Memories of Journeys Past
Created in our Lancashire Lockdown: Autumn 2020
For many a long day of Coronavirus-evading lockdown, we found ourselves marooned on Lancashire's Fylde Coast in a flat once owned and occupied for over 30 years by Margaret's mother. For the last 25 of our years, we were on the road in a variety of motorhomes, caravans and vans but always with our bicycles. Now we feel a need for protecting barriers against the threat of encirclement and encroachment by English suburban values. Barriers looking inwards at us with images, artefacts and memories of many a European and worldwide journey, with the hope if not the promise of more to come.
Here is a sample from the walls that surround us, expanding our horizons.
