Some Highlights of Travel from January to September 2019
Here is a small selection of images captured on our travels by motorome and bicycle in the first eight months of 2019. We started from England and travelled across central Europe to Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria before heading north through the easternmost countries of the EU to Poland and the Baltic Republics. Continuing across the Baltic into Finland, we reached mainland EU's easternmost point on the border with Russia and then crossed the Arctic Circle into the far north. Finland's northernmost point on its border with Norway is also the furthest north of the EU and our turning point.
Circling west and south through Norway, we began the long journey down Sweden's Inland Road, leaving the Arctic behind a little way south of the Sami town of Jokkmokk. This 1,200 mile journey took us to Trelleborg on Sweden's south coast for a ferry to Rostock in northern Germany.
